This starter can be replaced by a better more efficient Offset Gear Reduction Nippondenso type Starter 17380 (128000-1060, 128000-1061, 128000-1062) // Critical Note: The 17380 Bolt Pattern, Gear Size, Gear Teeth, and Housing Center Ring all Match. The issue is whether there is room for installing the starter, since the Motor is Offset instead of directly inline with the Drive. Please confirm room for installation before using the better replacement for this older Lucas starter.
